	The Hug I spotted a troop of vervet monkeys moving through Mountain Zebra National Park in South Africa. This mother hugged her baby close. I was taken with their eyes, both so intense. The pair was the photo of the day at Bestfoto on December 29 and later became the Animals Photo of the Month there, then won honors at Shutterbugs on December 30, and at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on December 17, 2007.
	Colorful Sunrise Ascension The snow geese roost all night in the water at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. On this morning, the colorful light coincided with their takeoff flight. This image is one of those that made up the First Place in the Photo Club Category of the 2007 Nature's Best Magazine Windland Smith Rice International Awards. It appeared in print in the magazine and was also on display in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC through spring of 2008. It also won honors at Photo-Of-The-Day.com and at Shutterbugs on January 24.

	Snow Geese Ascension A flock of snow geese take flight at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near San Antonio, New Mexico. This image was a Fifth Place Winner in the 2007 National Wildlife Refuge Association Contest.
	Signal Mountain Muledeer I spotted this fellow in the fall grasses at Grand Teton National Park, on Signal Mountain. The image was the Animals Photo of the Day at Bestfoto on February 1, and at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on January 27, 2007.
	Cabin and Aspen Grand Teton National Park in fall. The photo was the Scenic Photo of the Day on January 23, 2007 at Bestfoto.
	Yellow and Red ...with a touch of green. The trees along Moose-Teton Road (in Grand Teton National Park) were absolutely fiery. The image won at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on January 16, 2007.
	Mixing Fall Reflections The fall foliage in Grand Teton National Park was gloriously reflecting. A friend of mine volunteered to throw a few pebbles into the water to make some ripples. The image was a winner at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on December 18, 2006.

	Augustine Volcano Taken on my way back from Homer, Alaska. Later this volcano erupted multiple times and wreaked all kinds of havoc on airline flights. People were warned to stay indoors for health reasons. The image won at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on January 18, 2006.
	Moosie in Summer A handsome fellow right in town in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the Animals Photo of the Day on Photoshowdown for January 17th, and then at Photo-Of-The-Day.com on January 1, 2006.
	Back From Deep Sea Fishing Homer, Alaska was full of scenic backgrounds, including this one with a fishing boat. The image was the Photo of the Day at Bestfoto on August 23, 2005.
	Clouds On Lake Tolsona One of my all-time Alaskan favorite images was taken on an RV trip with friends as we tooled around the state. It was featured on Photoshowdown on July 7, 2005, Bestfoto on July 19th, Imagestation on July 15th, and Shutterbugs on July 12th.
	Knobby Knees This little bison calf would go well in my family, cuz it seems most of us have knobby knees. It was the Photo of the Day at Shutterbugs on June 9, 2005.
	Red Butte This beautiful butte was located north of Newcastle, Wyoming. What a view. The photo was scenic photo of the day at Shutterbugs on June 8, 2005.
